The secret to getting healthy hair

Dry scalp

A dry scalp usually suffers from itching and dandruff. No one is a fan of the swirling dead dander that results. However, ignoring this problem will unfortunately only make it worse.

What is the solution then?

  • Mix ten drops of pure lavender essential oil with 30 ml of almond oil or jojoba oil. Gently massage this mixture into the scalp by making circular movements with the fingertips for five minutes.
  • For sensitive skin, use only jojoba oil to massage the scalp for five minutes after showering.
  • In addition, you should try to increase your intake of omega 3. This is a fatty acid that you mainly find in fish and vegetables.

normal hair

People with thick or normal hair tend to have fewer problems than people with other hair types. Still, it’s not a bad idea to condition normal hair with a strengthening treatment every now and then.

How do you normally care for hair?

  • After shampooing your hair, spread a tablespoon of olive oil over the scalp and entire hair, from root to tip.
  • Then wrap your hair with plastic wrap and then cover it with a towel.
  • Let the olive oil do its work for about 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Then rinse the oil out with plenty of water and wash your hair with conditioner as usual.

Thin hair

With thin hair we usually speak of hair that has lost its strength and thickness, making it easier to fall out. This problem can be the result of a poor diet, a vitamin deficiency, improper hair care and in some cases an endocrine disorder.

The solution?

  • Heat half a cup of apple cider vinegar and dissolve it in half a cup of water.
  • Apply this mixture to the scalp with gentle movements.
  • Cover hair with plastic wrap and let the mixture sit for 30 to 40 minutes.

This is an effective remedy because apple cider vinegar can restore the pH level of the scalp.

brittle hair

Brittle hair can be the result of poor nutrition, vitamin deficiency, sun exposure, use of a blow dryer, curling iron or curlers, and improper handling. When you suffer from brittle hair, your hair often falls out more easily and grows back less quickly.

What can you do about this?

  • To strengthen brittle hair, massage the scalp with a small amount of coconut oil. Then leave it on for 5 to 10 minutes. It is even better to wrap the hair with plastic wrap during these 5 to 10 minutes, after which you rinse the oil with water.
  • You can also include more of the following foods in your diet: lean meat, fish, low-fat cheese, egg whites, spinach, soy, oranges and strawberries.

Rose

Dandruff occurs when there is an overgrowth of bacteria, causing dead skin cells to build up on the scalp. Dandruff can occur in both oily and dry scalps.

What is the solution against dandruff?

  • Mix ten drops of essential tea tree oil or ten drops of essential eucalyptus or bergamot oil with 30 ml of jojoba or almond oil. Then massage this mixture into the scalp with circular movements before showering.
  • If you’re looking for a no-rinse product, mix a small amount of witch hazel with some mouthwash and massage it into the scalp after shampooing and conditioner.
  • For optimal results, it’s also wise to make sure you include plenty of zinc-rich foods in your diet. For example, eat clams, crab, lean meats, lobster, peanut butter, pumpkin seeds, and salmon on a regular basis.
