1. Child position

The child's position

You may already know this pose, also known as Balasana.

  • This pose consists of kneeling and sitting with your buttocks on your feet.
  • Then stretch your arms out in front of you.

We recommend that you hold this pose for at least 2 minutes. This way your body can relax and the gas can go away. This pose can also be done inverted, with your face up.

  • When you lie down, bend one leg and pull it toward you. Start rocking back and forth.
  • If you can grab your feet is even better.

2. The Wind Relieving Pose

The name of this pose says it all. It is one of the most effective poses for getting rid of gas in your gut.

  • Lie face up and stretch your legs. Bend one of the legs and pull it towards you with your hands around it. This is similar to the child position. The higher you lift your knee the better. You should hold this position for at least 30 seconds.
  • One adjustment: When you pull your leg toward you, try touching your nose with your knee. This makes the exercise more difficult and effective.

3. The Plow Pose

the plow pose

The plow pose is widely used in yoga and is a great exercise for intestinal gas.

  • In this exercise, you lie face up and stretch your legs up toward the ceiling.
  • If you can, lift your body so that you are supported only by your upper back.

For starters , you can help yourself by using your hands to support your lower back. Then gradually move your legs over your head.

If it’s more comfortable for you, you can leave your hands where they are. Other people prefer to have them by their side. Be very careful with this pose. If you have neck problems you should not do this pose, but otherwise it can have very good results.

4. The camel pose

This last exercise also gives great results.

  • Kneel without sitting on your legs, let your arms hang down and bend your torso back.
  • The idea is to form an arc with your body and touch your feet with your hands.

To make it more comfortable, make sure your head is completely relaxed. You can let the top of your foot touch the ground or prop yourself up on your toes.
