When it comes to cleansing the skin or removing makeup, you’ve probably tried everything. From different types of soaps to gels to different types of foam… but which product has ever really properly and deeply cleaned your skin of all impurities?

There are always some leftovers. In addition, it is even the case that the structure of your skin after using some of these products is anything but desirable.

So what could be better than simply some water to cleanse and care for the skin and remove make-up?  Read below what great things micellar water can do for you.

It is cleansing, refreshing, smoothing and moisturizing

Micellar water consists of only natural ingredients, which not only have a cleansing effect on the skin, but are also calming and moisturizing. People who use this product on a daily basis see that it produces great results. This makes micellar water an indispensable resource for many women.

How do you use it?

  • Good quality micellar water, unlike, for example, most cleansing milks, is not too creamy or too greasy. It’s actually very thin and refreshing. Use micellar water by putting a little of it on a cotton ball and using it to cleanse the face.
  • Beauty experts recommend using micellar water in the morning, right after you get up. In this way you remove oiliness that may have accumulated on the skin during the night and prepare the skin for the application of your daily make-up.
  • You can also carry a small bottle of micellar water in your bag so you can use it anytime, such as  when you just finished the gym or when you just want to refresh and relax your face. This can be very pleasant. But micellar water is also a very good way to remove your make-up before going to bed. With just a few swipes, you can already cleanse and smooth the skin from impurities. It only takes a few seconds, but it can really work wonders when you add micellar water to your daily skincare routine.

Ingredients

With these amounts you can make about half a cup of micellar water. These are the ingredients you’ll need:

  • 90 ml of rose water. Rose water is available at most health food stores. It’s certainly not hard to find and not too expensive either. However, if you know how to make rose water yourself, this is of course always better.
  • 3 ml castor oil. Castor oil is available at most health food stores. It is best to buy sulfated castor oil. This variant is soluble in water and can therefore enhance the good properties of micellar water. Castor oil is very effective and convenient for external use. The oil is even able to cleanse the face of hard-to-remove makeup, such as waterproof mascara.
  • Vitamin E. We have already talked about the benefits of vitamin E several times. For example, this vitamin can counteract the aging process by nourishing and repairing the skin, hair and nails. So it’s definitely not a bad idea to buy some vitamin E capsules from the pharmacy. You can use these capsules in several ways. You only need 20 drops for this recipe.
  • 5 ml essential rosehip oil. This is really a great product! Rosehip oil is capable of repairing, caring for, moisturizing and smoothing the skin. It is always handy to have some rosehip oil at home. Rosehip oil is not overly expensive and, like the other ingredients in this recipe, can be used in multiple ways.
  • A glass bottle with a content value of 150 ml. You need this bottle to store the micellar water. The bottle is just the right size to fit easily in your handbag.

Healthy Skin

This is the easiest part of the recipe. All you have to do is mix all the ingredients together in the glass bottle. Thanks to the castor oil, all the ingredients will combine well. And don’t worry if the mixture gets a yellow glow, because this is also due to the oil.

You will notice that micellar water has a very pleasant scent. The more often you use this remedy, the more important it will become for you in your daily beauty treatment. Use micellar water as follows:

  • Shake the bottle well and then put a few drops on a cotton ball.
  • Apply micellar water to your face in the morning before putting on your make-up and use it in the evening to remove make-up (residue) and impurities. It is very useful for removing mascara and other eye makeup, just like lipstick. Your face will be thoroughly clean.
  • Use micellar water anytime during the day when your face feels tired or very warm. You can even store it in a small spray bottle to make it easier to use outdoors. Micellar water is simply fantastic!
