1. Sweet and sour chicken wings with pineapple

Chicken wings with pineapple

Ingredients

  • 200 ml tomato sauce or ketchup
  • white vinegar and pineapple juice, to taste
  • 5 grams of cornstarch or other thickening agent
  • 1o pieces (or 1 kg) chicken wings, cut in half
  • 30 grams of brown sugar
  • sesame seeds and salt and pepper, to taste
  • mustard and Worcestershire sauce (optional)
  • 1 or 2 rings of fresh pineapple
  • cooking oil

Preparation

  • First, wash the chicken wings and remove any feathers or nails.
  • Then season the wings to taste with salt and pepper. If you want to use mustard and Worcestershire sauce, you can put it on the chicken now. You will get a stronger flavor if you let the chicken marinate for at least an hour. Place the wings in a sealed container in the refrigerator.
  • Then heat some oil in a frying pan. Fry the wings until they are golden brown. You can also roast them in the oven if you prefer. Once the chicken is done, place it in a separate bowl.
  • In the skillet in which you just fried the chicken, add the tomato sauce, sugar, vinegar and pineapple juice. Also add the fruit that you cut into small pieces beforehand.
  • Keep stirring gently. As soon as it starts to boil, add the cornstarch that you have previously dissolved in water (note: there should be no lumps left in the water with the cornstarch). Keep stirring until the sauce is thick enough.
  • Then add the chicken wings to the sauce and let them cook on low heat for 5 minutes.
  • Finally, remove the pan from the heat and place the chicken on a platter. Sprinkle them with the sesame seeds.
  • You can serve the chicken wings with rice, potatoes or bread, but a vegetable puree also goes well with it.

  • Then mix the honey, soy sauce, garlic, olive oil, lemon juice and salt in a food processor. Also add some black pepper.
